Current Guidelines for Facilities Use
Dear people of the Good Shepherd,
Good day to you in the name of our Healer and Redeemer Jesus Christ.
The worship and gathering materials for this Sunday are up on our website. In the days and weeks to come, staff and volunteers will strive to add video worship and instructional materials to the site. If anyone has access to good video recording devices, please let us know. Stay tuned and thank you for your patience.
As we look forward to starting a new work week after the suspension of gatherings, the following are some guidelines for the use of the GSLC office and facilities, in keeping with direction from local civic and health officials:
- Staff and volunteers will be in the office/facilities only when necessary, including to take deliveries, access files and information not retrievable remotely, answer phones, prepare materials for online resources, make recordings for online ministry, and for other essential operational functions.
- Staff, committee, team, board, and other meetings should be conducted online or over the phone. To the extent that staff and volunteers can conduct the ministry of GSLC, including supporting community services remotely, they are being encouraged to do so, using discretion.
- Please keep face-to-face meetings at GSLC (even one-on-one) to a minimum, and when possible, meet over the phone or online.
- If you need to be in the facilities, please observe all of the other guidance from health officials, such as keeping the safe distance of 6 feet from each other in facilities, washing hands regularly, and wiping down the usual oft-used areas like counters, door handles, etc.
Operating and working together through these means will be extremely awkward. However, this guidance is for your safety and that of our congregation and community, especially the most vulnerable among us. Please exercise caution and care until we are through this period.
Thank you very much for your cooperation. I pray for your safety of body, mind, and heart through Christ, our Protector and Savior.
