Adults

As one of our core values states, “We are committed to spiritual growth... through lifelong learning.” Good Shepherd's Christian Education program seeks to reflect that value and accomplish our church's mission of fostering spiritual growth and faith development.

We believe that the study and application of God’s Word is essential to the Christian life and of the utmost importance; and because we believe that, we seek to create and nurture opportunities for our members and guests, of all stages of life and spiritual maturity, to engage and be challenged to grow in their faith and understanding of Scripture.

We believe that one of the primary ways in which we respond to God’s grace is through devotion and study of His Word' which, in turn, leads to a life of caring service to God and others. Good Shepherd offers a variety Christian education opportunities for kids, youth, and adults. For information about our Christian Education program or classes, check out our Kids and Youth pages, or email Youth Ministry Facilitator Holly Vanderhoof.

New Member Connections

Connections Class

Are you interested in learning more about Good Shepherd? Would you like to make a deeper connection with us and our ministries? If so, we would love to engage with you. Our Connections Classes will give you an overview of Good Shepherd: what it means to be a member; the value we place on service and on continual growth through Bible study and on establishing strong bonds within our church community. We also spend some time talking about what Lutherans believe. We wrap up these classes with a session dedicated to getting to know you better and helping you find a place to connect with others.

We have in-person Connection Classes scheduled throughout the year that help you become further acquainted with Good Shepherd and what it means to be a member. Questions? Contact the church office (  ) or Heidi Cooper ( ).

Adult Confirmation

For those who are fairly new or unfamiliar to the Lutheran lens and approach as Christians, Pastor Johann will be offering an adult confirmation class for six sessions. For those who want to learn even more than that he will offer two extra sessions beyond the six. Registration has closed, but if you'd like more information, contact the church office ( ).
