Prayer

Prayer is an integral part of a Christ-follower's life. When we pray, we are reminded of God's love and mercy for each of us. In prayer, we also bear one another's burdens, rejoice with our friends and families, bring our concerns to God, and strengthen the ties within our faith community.

Submit a prayer request

All prayer requests are welcome! You may submit prayer requests to the church office using the form at the bottom of this page. Prayer requests are sent out by email to our Prayer Chain. All requests are kept in our prayers for three weeks. After three weeks, requests should be updated to remain on the Prayer Chain.

These prayer requests are also included in our weekly Prayers of the Church (during worship services) and are noted in the "In Our Prayers This Week" document that is distributed in our Friday email.

If you wish for a prayer request to be confidential, please note that on the prayer submission form.

Because of privacy issues, we will not include prayers for anyone outside a person's immediate family or household unless we have specific permission to do so. (For example, if you wish to pray for a co-worker, we need that co-worker's permission before adding the name to our list.)

Join the Prayer Chain

Prayer Chain members receive updates of prayer requests each Monday and as they are submitted throughout the week. If you would like to be part of our Prayer Chain, let us know by filling out the form below.

Prayer Gatherings

Members of Good Shepherd meet, virtually, every Wednesday evening to pray for friends, members, our community, our country, and whatever else moves them. You don't need to pray aloud to be a part of this group.

The gatherings open with a brief devotion and last about 30 minutes.

Would you like to be a part of our Prayer Gatherings? Let us know on the form below. After you submit the form, you will receive a link to the next online Prayer Gathering.

Healing Prayer Team

The Healing Prayer Ministry (part of Congregational Care) at Good Shepherd began its work by offering confidential, personal Prayer at the Rail following Sunday morning services, as noted in the News & Announcements for the week. If you would like to request a call with the Healing Prayer team, indicate that request on the form below and submit it. Someone from the prayer team will be in touch with you.

If you would like to find out more about being member of the Healing Prayer Ministry team, you may indicate that on the form below.
