A Walk in the World of Dementia

Based on the Positive Approach to Care® methodology, this 3-hour class includes:
- What is dementia, what are the stages, and strategies that work in each stage
- A "Virtual Dementia Tour" to help better understand what your loved one is going through
- Proven hands-on techniques, skills and approaches for patient-centered care
Who should take the class:
- Anyone interested in learning more about dementia
- The class is not appropriate for the dementia sufferer him/herself
Class fee will be paid by the Congregational Care & Nurture ministry. Class size is limited to 15 due to the hands-on nature of some of the material. If you need to attend but are unable to attend this session, please let June McGurn know that you’re interested and she will look into additional dates.
