Advent Reality Stories

Posted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on

Today is the first Sunday in Advent, and we hear an admonition from Jesus: “Be alert. Keep awake.” In his message, “Advent Reality Stories,” Pastor Johann urges us to embrace the practices of Advent – Be still. Be quiet. Listen. Wait. Watch. Pray. – as we look forward to Christmas, the celebration of Jesus’ first appearance among us,  and also await His Second Coming. In our hymns and songs we rejoice greatly and also implore Emmanuel, the Savior of the nations, to come to us. The presence of Christ is the ultimate answer to every prayer, to every Advent of our life. Join us for worship!
