What Is "Nunc Dimittis"?

Posted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on

The “Nunc Dimittis” – sometimes called the Song of Simeon, sometimes referred to as “Peaceful Dismissal” – is a part of the Christian liturgy that occurs near the end of the worship service. While a dismissal can seem like the end of something, Pastor Johann today talks about how the Nunc Dimittis applies to our everyday lives as well.

Our Christmas joy continues as we sing “Now Sing We, Now Rejoice” and praise God from whom all blessings flow. Join us for worship.

Before you begin watching the service, you may want to open the bulletin so you can follow along.
