Comfort to Straighten Up
Comfort is one of the main reasons why people seek the Lord. Comfort is for the distressed, usually. This is why Jesus does not sugarcoat the terrible signs that will coincide with his return. If He had, the fact that those signs point to our coming redemption would not be as comforting. With the divisiveness, hatred, and uncertainty in our world today we are able to straighten up and raise our heads, as it all points to our coming redemption. Join us as Pastor Johann discusses the comfort-level that comes from the distressing things surrounding us. The Advent season is a good time to meditate on the fact that we are waiting for Jesus’ return, to judge the living and the dead. While we wait for Jesus to return, and we are surrounded by the evil of this world, we should ask ourselves – “what would God have us do?” We should have faith in His return, comfort in our redemption, and share the Word. As Christians, we should encourage people to persevere because help is on the way with Jesus, the Savior. We have an opportunity to confess our hope and confidence that Jesus is returning, our redemption is drawing near, and we can tell others of the salvation He has won for us.
