Dressed for What?

This Sunday, Pastor James invites you to wrestle with one of Jesus’ most radical teachings—turn the other cheek. In a world that glorifies retaliation and self-defense, Jesus flips the script—calling us to embrace vulnerability, extend mercy, and respond to hostility with love. But this isn’t passive surrender. It’s courageous grace. Jesus challenges us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and live with open hands and generous hearts. It’s a call to reflect the very character of God—not just in easy moments, but in the hardest ones. Walking away isn’t the answer. Today’s gospel urges us to stay, stand firm, and respond with perseverance and compassion. Because as Christians, we’re not just surviving—we’re living as citizens of heaven, embodying the ethos of God’s kingdom here and now. Join us as we explore what it means to live as modern-day saints—confident in the promise of eternal life, and bold enough to model Christ’s love in a broken world.
