Fire in the Heart

In today’s gospel text, Jesus declares that He came to cast fire upon the earth. Join Pastor James as he contrasts popular perceptions of Christianity as a path to comfort and peace with the radical reality of following Christ – a fire that challenges, purifies, and sometimes divides. As Christians, we are warned against complacency, urged not to settle for being “cool Christians,” and to rekindle the fire within answering the call to let Christ’s fire burn brightly in their hearts. Sparking a renewal both within themselves and in the world around them.
