Practical Repentance

Posted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on December 15, 2024

Some people look towards baptism but do not want to change their lives. In a sense, they want to be cleansed of their sins, but without repentance. Without repentance, and turning towards Christ, how can baptism be effective? Join us today as Pastor Johann discusses how the joy of God’s ways comes when we truly love our neighbors as ourselves. During Lent, we focus on reflection, prayer, service, and acts of repentance, a returning to God. Judgment is coming and we are powerless, often focusing on the circumstances of society, and not acts of repentance. By being witnesses for Christ, we know the good news, salvation is available, by repenting and turning towards God.
