Size of Our Faith

Faith in God, even as small as a mustard seed, can empower us to obey difficult commands and forgive others, not because of our strength but because of His greatness. Jesus taught that faith is not about quantity but about trusting a great God, and that obedience and humility are the true marks of a servant. We are not to boast in our faith or obedience, but to recognize that all we have is by grace and that we owe God everything. Scripture consistently calls us to grow in humility, not self-esteem, and to focus on our duty rather than our feelings. Ultimately, our motivation and strength to obey come from remembering Christ’s sacrifice and keeping our eyes on the cross.
