You are Justified

Posted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on October 27, 2024

On Reformation Sunday, we pause to celebrate Luther posting his 95 Theses. We celebrate the primary doctrine of the church: justification, without which we are bereft of salvation and not headed toward eternity with Jesus Christ. Join us today as Pastor Johann discusses how through faith, we receive God’s gift of forgiveness of sins won for us by Christ on the cross. Will we keep justification at the center of our church practice? Alternatively, will we compromise and give people what they want instead of what they need for salvation and sanctification? Our roles are simple, to share the message of salvation in word and deed. Reformation is not over; the church continues to need reforming in our day. We need to grasp how beautiful and central this divine doctrine of justification is, the very power of the gospel, and let it permeate every aspect of the church’s life.
