What is a Life Group?
Life Groups are small groups of people who gather to “do life” together and participate in the natural things that Christian families and communities do: Christian fellowship; prayer; reflection on the Word; caring for one another; providing encouragement; taking part in activities and service together; and the list goes on.
- Wouldn’t it be great if everyone at Good Shepherd was “tended to” in a smaller aspect of church in which personal care, intimate sharing, and growth in Christ could happen, regularly?
- Wouldn’t it be great if those who have fallen away from the church could be reawakened by the care found in group life?
- Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see more of our Good Shepherd people tending the Shepherd’s flock in the community, befriending neighbors and the unchurched, and inviting them to the care, love, activity, fun, and encouragement of a small community, in Christ?
- Wouldn’t it be a blessing if those who take part in the life of a small community (Life Group) eventually join in the life of the larger Good Shepherd community?
You'll find descriptions of our various Life Groups below. Many groups meet in person, though some continue meetings via online platforms. If you are interested in any one of the groups, please fill out the Life Group Interest Form.
