The Eye-Opening Christ

Join Pastor James as he recounts the story of two discouraged disciples on the road to Emmaus where they are joined by Jesus following His crucifixion. Like a sunset signaling the end of hope, the disciples felt defeated, yet Jesus joined them amidst their despair, walking beside them and gently guiding their understanding. The resurrection turns tragedy into triumph, transforming their outlook and opening their eyes to Christ’s presence. Through the resurrection, ordinary moments and meals become sacred, and despair gives way to conviction and new possibilities. The disciples, once saddened, are now moved to share their encounter and witness to others. Christ’s resurrection not only changed their lives but also inspires believers today to live with conviction and to share the good news. The promise of “sunrise”—renewal and hope—remains central, ensuring that faith continues to sustain and bless all who follow Jesus.
