Giving Our Two Cents

Posted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on November 10, 2024

We go through life spending our energy to learn, to grow, and to gain higher titles. We go through such great lengths to receive the status of a title, much like the scribes in today’s gospel. Jesus warns us about these scribes and those who serve God with hypocrisy, compared to those who serve Him with true spiritual devotion. Join us today as Pastor Johann discusses how the widow in today’s gospel gave all that she had in poverty. Her absence of having riches became her need not to have them. She gave her last two cents in humility and in turn let go of worldly possessions, giving all to the glory of God.
