Retreat & Tender Healing

Posted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on June 30, 2024

Jesus often retreated from crowds. As a person, He valued privacy and His time alone with nature to pray and be alone with the Lord. It is through His examples of prayer that He shares his love and healing. Join us today as Pastor Johann discusses how healing is not only mechanical or physiological. Healing is about overcoming fear and about faith. Through prayer and the examples in today’s Gospel, we see that Jesus understands sensitivity, privacy, and retreat. When we’re struggling, we need those who are genuine in support, retreating in order to be with God.
